These figures are Florida’s legal maximum for licensed child care centers. They are the state limit, not Kiddie Corner’s classroom staffing.
Infants (3 wk–12 mo)
Florida state maximum (legal limit): 1:4 · Birth through 1 year
Toddlers (12 mo–2 yr)
Florida state maximum (legal limit): 1:6 · Age 1, under 2
Twos (2–3 yr)
Florida state maximum (legal limit): 1:11 · Age 2, under 3
Preschool (3–4 yr)
Florida state maximum (legal limit): 1:15 · Age 3, under 4
Pre-K / VPK (4–5 yr)

- (a) School-year VPK classes require a second adult when a class has 12 or more children (Fla. Stat. §1002.55(3)(f)).
- (b) Summer VPK classes are capped at 12 children (Fla. Stat. §1002.61(8)).
- (c) When children 2 years of age and older are in care, the staff-to-child ratio is based on the age group with the largest number of children in the group (Fla. Stat. §402.305(4)(a)7).

Our Pre-K builds on earlier learning to advance literacy, vocabulary, math, problem-solving, and fine and gross motor skills. A typical day
Funshine Express curriculum: graphs and patterns, writing their name and simple words, nature observation with charts and seeds, emotion-vocabulary circles, and active outdoor play.

Full-time / part-time. For children who turn 4 after September 1.
Visit the pre-kindergarten classroom before you decide.
30-minute tours, Monday–Friday. Bring a partner or a family member. We answer every question.
