Frequently asked questions
- What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
- What ages does Kiddie Corner Academy serve?
We provide year-round, full- and part-time care for children ages 3 weeks through 12 years old.
- How do I enroll my child?
Call (305) 362-8222 to schedule a tour and discuss availability. Tours are by appointment, Monday through Friday — we work around your schedule. You do not need to fill out pre-enrollment forms before your tour; we walk you through the whole process on the day you decide to enroll.
- What are your tuition rates?
Tuition varies by program (infant care vs. pre-kindergarten) and schedule (full-time vs. part-time). See the Tuition page for current rates or call us for a custom quote.
- Do you offer a multi-child discount?
Yes — a 10% family-appreciation discount for families with two or more children enrolled at the same time, as long as at least one child is enrolled full-time. The 10% is applied to the oldest full-time sibling.
- Can tuition be paid online?
Not yet — we are working on it. For now, tuition can be paid in our front office via cash, credit, or check from a local bank.
- Is Kiddie Corner Academy a licensed childcare facility?
Yes. We are fully licensed by the State of Florida (License #C-11MD0687). Our license is displayed in the main office, and we are inspected regularly to ensure the best in health, safety, and education.
- Are you accredited?
Yes. We are nationally accredited through A.P.P.L.E. (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment). Accreditation sets a standard far beyond licensing alone.
- What food program do you provide?
We participate in the federal Child Care Food Program and serve FREE breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack to ALL enrolled children. All meals meet USDA patterns and Florida Department of Health regulations.
- What security measures do you have in place?
All entrances and exits are secured with keypad locks — parents receive a personal code. Approved pickup persons must present ID. We maintain a strict daily sign-in/sign-out policy for every child.
- Are there cameras in the school?
Yes — every classroom has a surveillance camera used by the administration to monitor classrooms throughout the day. For safety reasons, we do not offer live streaming over the internet.
- Who will be caring for my child?
Our teachers and administrators are passionate early-childhood educators. Every staff member is certified, bilingual, and has passed a background check; all complete CPR and First Aid training before starting.
- What is the student-teacher ratio?
Each classroom has 1 to 4 teachers depending on class size. Ratios meet or exceed Florida state requirements, which vary by age group.
- Can Kiddie Corner administer medication?
Yes — with the proper signed forms from both parent and physician, provided in the original container labeled with the child’s full name.
- How do I find out about holiday and weather closings?
For severe weather, we follow Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ decision to close or reopen. Call our school’s automated system for the latest status. We also observe several holidays each year — see our School Holidays page.
